Production Line Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Supervisor to oversee our production line operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of production workers, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and guide team members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations on the production line, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Address any issues or concerns that arise during the production process promptly and effectively.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing levels as necessary to meet production demands.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with management to implement process improvements and increase operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, employee performance, and any incidents that occur on the line.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Monitor and improve production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that arise.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Post-Secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in a supervisory
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role with 10+ direct reports
• Minimum 2 years as production line supervisor within a manufacturing / production setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices
• Mechanical knowledge and understanding of assembly processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement
• Solid understanding of supply chain management principles
• Experience in quality control methods and techniques
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and management.
• Problem-solving skills to identify issues quickly and implement solutions effectively
• Attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met consistently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
