Assembler – Production Line

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Assembles products to the standard order description and master on line, within the standard time allowed and quality required.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fully knowledgeable on the safe operation of all equipment
- Checks with immediate Supervisor before start-up if any clarity is required on new process/equipment
- Checks the order, approval, supplies and master to make sure they are correct before starting the job
- Responsible to check components, labels, shades, etc
- Complies with Kolmar Canada and legislative policies and procedures, GMP and other regulatory agency requirements as well as Standard Operating Procedures
- Advises of any inconsistencies with the product, equipment or shortages of packaging or material while running
- Practices good workplace organization
- Maintains a tidy and clean work area, cleans up any spills or items that may fall on the floor or work area; follows good housekeeping and GMP practices
- Produces a quality product
- Assists on the lines wherever there may be a position which may be behind
- Assists with the training of new operators
- Responsible at the end of shift or job to:
- Clean down the line
- Put away and count all components
- Tape part and full boxes
- Verify counts for production records and timecards
- Removes garbage to proper refuse bins
- Puts away any supplies used on the job
- Maintain daily records of quantities produced and rejected.
- Completes GMP forms, product yield forms and logbooks as required.
- Sweeps and damp mops around the workstation.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Factory Experience Preferred
- Good Manual Dexterity
- Filling, Labelling, Capping, Packing Experience Preferred
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel)
- Comfortable with standing for 8-10 hours a day, scents/odors/powders, lifting 25lbs constantly,
Full-time, Permanent
WAGE RANGE: $17.20 hourly, +Benefits
Expected hours: 40 per week
